Important transport link between motorway and Merzig closed
From 2 March 2026, the Hilbringer Bridge between the Merzig junction of the A8 motorway and the city centre will be completely closed for several months due to renovation work.
Please allow extra time when travelling to the Hotel-Restaurant Roemer and follow the signposted diversions via the AS 5 Merzig-Schwemlingen or AS 7 Rehlingen motorway exits.
